DONATIONS BY CHINESE RESIDENTS. The managing-secretary of the Palmerston North Hospital Board desires to acknowledge the following donations received from Chinese residents:—Kwong Shang Lee, £5 ss; Joe Kwong Lee & Co., £3 os; Joe Kwong Chong & Co., £2 2s; Joe & Joe & Co., £2; Joe Hong •Shing, £1 Is; Hip Yick, £1 Is; Terrace End Fruit Co., 15s; Joe Lee, 10s 6d; Shang Lee, 10s 6d; W. J. Ming, ,10s 6d; IV. Ling & Co., 10s; Wong Shun, 10s; Joe Kee Shang, 10s; Chong Lee, 10s; Hong Lee, 10s; Lum Chin, 10s; Joe Shun, ss; Y. Yong, ss; G-. Yan,/ss; C. Gong, ss; Joe Gun Cheun, ss; total, £2l 3s 6d. For many years past the Chinese residents have each year arranged a collection and contributed the resulting sum towards the hospital. It is particularly pleasing that this effort has again been so successful this year.
