From Our Own Correspondent, Euchre Evening.

There was a fair attendance at the fortnightly euchre party in ihc school last week. The prizes were given by Mrs. S. Hynes, Mrs. P. Malone and Mr. P. Apcl, and were won by Miss 1. Amer, Mrs. A. Withers, Mr. R. Gavigan and Mr. A. Laing. Dainty refreshments were appreciated at the conclusion of the evening. General. Tho prizes competed for at the Yankee tournament that took piaeo at the opening of the tennis court last Saturday were donated by tho club captain, Mr. A. Withers. Mrs. S. Hynes, of Ridgeiauds, is on a visit to friends in Kimbolton. Mr. and Mrs. Luke ancl their son, Mr. Austin Luke, are expecting to spend tho week-end in Makino as the guests of Mr. and Mrs. A. E. Beazer. Miss Jean Stuart-Moray is spending a fortnight’s holiday at Taihape and is tho guest of Miss Molly Gilbert. Mr. S. Gray, of Taumaranui, is at present staying with his sister, Mrs. Waite? Hills. Mr. Ernest Brabant, Pahiatua, lias been on a visit to his aunt, Mrs. W, Reid.
