An easy way of obtaining valuable radio instruments has been discovered by a gentleman in Berlin who has already spent several years in gaol. He walked into a Berlin broadcasting station at a very early hour in the morning, before any officials had arrived, and ordered the charwomen about so that they thought he was an official. Quite coolly he unscrewed from the ■wall a large condenser, and also took a loud speaker, which he afterwards tried to sell. It was the unusually low price he asked that led to his arrest.
