WELLINGTON PRIMARY TEAM AGAIN DEPEATS MANAWATU.

A second association football game staged between Wellington and Manawatu primary representatives at North street park, Palmerston North, resulted in a victory for the visitors by three goals to nil. The teams taking part were:— Wellington (black and white): Barnelly, Earsman, Jupp, McQueen, Burcombe, Phillips, McCarthy, McGregor, Ongley, Tonks and Yeoman. Manawatu (red and white): Hulena, Petersen, Anderson, Wheatley, Young, W. Smith, Laing, Moore, Stewart, Davidson and Shiriffs. Superior football was witnessed, compared with the previous game won by Wellington, and the ball was kept moving continually. Lang and Young played well for Manawatu but stern opposition was experienced. Ongley scored first for the blacks, Barnsley and Ongley adding the other two points to give the laurels to the boys from the capital city. Mr. P. W. Ivey acted as referee.
