NEW ZEALAND’S START AGAINST GENTLEMEN. Received Friday, 1 a.m. LONDON, Sept. 3. The New Zealand cricketers commenced their match with the Gentlemen of England in fine weather. The wicket and. outfield are slow. James, Dempster and Matheson are omitted from the New Zealand side. Gentlemen Bryan (captain), Wyatt, Morkel, Newman, Green, Foster, Crutchley, Brown, Benson, Altham and Wagener. Lowry won the toss.
