Maori N.Z. Team To Play Wallabies
WILL TRAIN AT OTAKI. Per Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH, Aug. 24. The following team have been selected to represent the Maoris of New Zealand against the Australian touring Rugby team: Pull-back.—Nepia (East Coast). Three-quarters.—McDonald (Marlborough), Walford (East Coast), Watson (Tarana’-i), Ruru (Wellington). Pive-eightlis—Howell (Hawkes Bay), Mason (North Otago). Half-back—Harrison (East Coast). Wing-forward—-Bell (Southland). Porwards—Purdie (Southland), Manihera (Canterbury), Tom Robinson (Canterbury), Reid (East Coast), Gemmell (Hawke's Bay), Wilson (Hawke’s Bay), Leach (Bay of Plenty), T. Wanoa (Hawke’s Bay). The men selected will go into training at Otaki on September 3rd.
