This briefly summarises the present status of the trade relation negotiations between Canada and New Zealand. Referring to butter, Mt. Bennett said: “Our policy is to foster this natural essential industry, and we anticipate that normally Canadian producers will supply tho homo market, but it is probable that winter shortages will Teeur, and in any ease, so far as imports are necessary, it is our desire to give preference to supplies front reciprocating Dominions.”
