At present there is no definite information as to whether the newlyestablished health camp at CastleclilT, Wanganui, which has been made possible through the generous gift of land made by Dr. A. H. E. Wall, will participate in funds raised by tho Government. There was an apprehensive note to the discussion in this regard at the last meeting of tho Wanganui Education Board. The No. 5 unemployment scheme has been broadened to bring within its scope unemployed male school teachers. This information was conveyed to the Wanganui Education Board by circular from the Department. The secretary (Mr. W. H. Swanger) said that there had been four teachers who came within tho provisions of the scheme. He had arranged for them to be employed as part-time additional assistance, but since then one had reported that he was working permanently on a farm and another was recommended for appointment to a country school. That left two only who could benefit by the scheme.
