Hawera Murder Charge

GRAND JURY’S LONG DELIBERATION

Per Press Association. NEW PLYMOUTH, Last Night. The grand jury sat all day without reaching a decision on tho charge against Walter John Tinsley of murdering Nana Chhiba, tho Indian fruiterer, who was found dead in his shop at Hawera on February 1, and the charge against Lawrence Monteath, an accountant, of making a false declaration. These were the only criminal eases on the Supreme Court calendar. The grand jury is sitting to-night, but tho Court adjourned until to-mor-row. It is understood there are 40 witnesses for the Crown on tho murder charge.
