Interesting Programme At Girls’ Music Club
At their monthly gathering in the radio studio (2ZF) on Thursday evening, a most interesting programme was presented by the members. Mrs. J. Fisher presided and there was an attendance of about twenty-live. Those who contributed were as follow: —Violin solo, "English Danse” (J. B. Dale), Miss B. Elliot; pianoforte solo, "Sonata in E Elat Major” (Op. 31 No, 3, Beethoven), Miss A. Arrow (Hopelands); song, "What Shall 1 Sing You”? (Barry Miss E. Trask; ’cello solo, "Slavonic Fantasy” (Dvorak-Krcisler), Miss E. Elliot; song, "Wind Song” (Rodgers)-, • Miss V. Corke; pianoforte solo, "Second Movement in D Minor’’ (Beethoven), Miss E. Corke; violin solo, "Lullaby” (0. Scott), Miss V. Gunter; song, "Chinese Flower” (Eobert Bowes), Miss G. Laurenson; pianoforte solo, "Prelude and Fugue” (Bach), Miss A. Noble (Woodville); violin solo, "Lowre” (Bach), Miss F. Howley; pianoforte solo, "Fenso Follots” (Liszt), Miss E. Hansen; song, "Thoughts” (IL Fisher), Miss M. Gray; violin solo, * Melody” (Gluck-Kreisler), Mrs. J. Fisher; son", "Advice” (Carew), Miss J. Severe; pianoforte solo, ".Sonatina” (Ravel), Miss F. Severe. The accompaniments were played by Misses M. Muirliead, E. Corke, E. Gunter and F. Severe. Other members present were: Mts. J. K. Paton, Misses M. Buchanan,. Z. Leamy, D. Wclton and E. Gunter, visitors being Mrs. E. Johnston, and Miss G. Johnston (Woodville), Misses Aitken, E. Gray and M. Kearins. At the conclusion of the programme the usual dainty supper was served.
