The engagement is continued of Lady May Cambridge, nicco of the Queen, to Captain Henry Abel-Smith, of the Horse Guards, who was A.D.O. to the Earl of Athlonc when he was GovernorGeneral of South Africa. Captain Smith is 32 and Lady May Cambridge 25.

Captain If. Abcl-Smith was in South Africa as A.D.O. to the Earl of Athlonc, Lady May Cambridge’s father, when ho ■was Governor-General of that Dominion. Captaiu Abcl-Smith was previously a lieutenant in the Royal Horse Guards (“Tho Blues”), receiving his lieutenancy in 1921.
