Watch Your Valves
High Compression must be kept high. It cannot be if tho valves arc permitted to deteriorate under the tremendous heat and constant impact to which they are subjected. The passion for silent operation impels many car owners to ask for valve adjustments that arc too close. Valves, thus, are burned beyond all hope of grinding. On the other hand, if they are allowed to become too loose the hot gasses escaping over the valve scats will destroy them.
