WHEN ATTEMPTING TO CHASTISE SONS. TWO YOUTHS SENT TO BORSTAL. Per Press Association. AUCKLAND, Last Night. When the respective fathers of Richard do Thierry and Arthur David Ogle attempted to chastise them for their waywardness the sons turned round and thrashed their fathers. These facts were revealed by Mr. Justice Herdman in tho Supreme Court when dc Thierry appeared for sentence on six charges of breaking, entering and theft, and Ogle on two similar charges. “You have both started off to make a failure of your lives," said his Honour to prisoners. “When your fathers attempted to chastise you it ended in you thrashing your fathers. Both cases are very bad. The prisoners were sent to the Borstal institute for three years
