To-day is bank holiday, and various sporting” fixtures arc being held in showery weather. The last Rugby Union match before selecting the Australian side for New Zealand was played at tho Sydney cricket ground in the presence of a small attendance. The final scores wore: Australia 38, The Rest 29. Malcolm captained Australia’ and B. Egan captained The Rest.
