Collector of Playing Cards
[ A Londoner has a quaint hobby, tie ! collects complete packs of playing cards, and his colection, which is believed to be the finest in the world, includes packs of all ages, shapes and designs. Some of them are extraordinarily beautiful la place of tho usual hearts, clubs, spades and diamonds, one pack of early German origin has hearts, bells, t leaves and acorns. j An Italian pack bears “pips” in the r shape of swords, batons, cups and c money. Some of the packs have concavo edges; others have rounded ends. There are also a few examples of the modern circular packs which have not c “caught on” to a great extent owing r primarily to tho difficulty of controlling them.
