There was a fair attendance and the track • was good. The tote handled £11,200 10s, us against £27,217 on Easter Monday last year. The total was £27,281, as against £50,284. Time, 1.12 secs. Portray led the field from the start but before entering tho straight Tonterden took charge and although Reremoana made a good run from tho rear ho had no chance with the winnor, who won by four lengths. There was half a length between second and third. MOROA HACK HANDICAP, of 130 sovs.; 7 furlongs, 4 ROTATION, 8.1 (Gervand) .... 1 7 LUCRETIA, 7.10 (Stokes) .... 2 . i EPHIALTES, 8.10 (Brady) .. .. 3 Also started : 8 Ben Hur 9.0, 5 Falso Scent 8.9, 2 Jokneen 8.5, 6 Dcrrnod 8.1, 9 Winlock 7.10, 11 White Doe 7.9, 10 Midnight Echo 7.7, 3 Manuiri 7.7. Time, 1.27, White Doe and Rotation wore prominent early of a bunched field. Entering the straight Rotation was bowling along ip front followed by Ephialtes,
False Scent and Lucretia. Rotation won all out by a clear length from Lucretia which was a nock in front of Ephialtes. AUTUMN HANDICAP, of 300 sovs.; 1 mile, 1 furlong and SO yards. 5 STRAIGHT COURSE, 8.3 (McCann) 1 7 WHITE FANG, 8.10 (Dick) .. 2 1 STANCHION, 9.4 (Gray) .... 3 Also started: 4 Count Palatine 8.0, 6 Tho Swell 5.5, 3 Atholspear 7.13, 2 Lineage 7.8. Time, 1.59 2-5. From an even start Straightcourso took the lead attended by Lineage, Atholspear and Count Palatine with tho others handy. Straight-course gradually went away to win by three lengths, AVhitc Fang getting up to beat Stanchion by a length. Atholspear was fourth. JUVENILE HANDICAP, of 150 sovs.; 5 furlongs. 3 DISTORTION, 7.11 (Gerrand) .. * 2 EICHBOEOUGII, 8.11 (Voitre) . * 5 CHILD’S STUDY, 7.10 (Burgess) 3 * Dead heat. Entering tho straight Distortion headed Acis and then Eichborough came with a line run on the outer. Ridden out Distortion looked a winner, but Eichborough hung on gamely arid they crossed the line togothcr. Child’s Study was two lengths back third. False Scent began best followed by the favourite and Baslcicr. Entering the straight Koznn gained tho lead and was not troubled to win by a length from Valueless, which was a nock in front of False Scent.

Tobaceoland had no cliance with Dainty AA’ays, who camo with a wet sail in the straight to win easily by two lengths, a similar distance separating the second and third horses. ROTOTAAVHAI HACK HANDICAP, of 150 sovs.; 1 mile. 1 CESSATION, 8.5 (Gray) .... 1 6 ZEPHYRUS, 7.12 (McDowell) .. 2 2 SALTPOT, 8.10 (Voitre) .... 3 Also started: 8 Applcdorc 8.11, 3 Courtlike 8.10, 4 Jayson 8.4, 5 The Sun 7.11, .11 Grey Mist 7.8, 7 Pat’s Boy 7.8, 10 Master of Arts, 9 Peep 7.7. Time, 1.40. Zephyrus was first away and was still in front at the home bend, but Cessation came with a nice run from the middle of tho field and w 7 on by a length. Saltpot was a length away third. NOVICE STAKES, of 130 sovs.; all 9.0; 5 furlongs. 3 EMINENT (Mackie) 1 1 LITTLE THRUSH (Voitre) .. 2 4 LADY RONALD (Ridgway) .. 3 Also started: 8 Retract, 2 Joie Do Populace, 6 Exaltation, 9 Maidstone, 10 Valorous Knight. Time, 59 2-5. Eminent hopped away at tho start followed by AVee Lackic and Little Thrush. Eminent, ridden out, beat Little Thrush by a length, four lengths separating second and third.
