“PASSION FLOWER’’ ACHIEVES BIG SUCCESS—SPECIAL MATINEE TO-DAY. The two final presentations of the big Easter holiday programme is announced to-day for the Majestic theatre, a special matinee being held at 2.30 and the night session at 8 o’clock. “Passion Flower,” Kathleen Norris’s absorbing account of a woman, who, failing to find happiness in her own “money marriage” attempts to break tip the domestic tranquility of her cousin who has thrown wealth overboard in order to marry her father’s chauffeur is the Metro-Cloldwyn-Mayer feature so successfully presented at the Majestic theatre, Fcilding, on Saturday last. Kay Johnson is seen as Cassy Pringle, who is content to exchange a millionaire’s mansion for a two-roomed attic flat and the man she loves. Charles Bickford has a dramatic role as a chauffeur who is driven to extremities in order to support his wife and children. Kay Francis plays the discontented Ilulcic whoso boredom with an elderly invalid husband drives her to drastic action in an effort to secure the love of Cassy's husband. Lewis Stone portrays the invalid husband. The supporting cast includes Zazu Pitts as an amusingly domestic servant, Winter Hall, as Cassy’s father, and four-year-old Dickie Moore as the child of the chauffeur-society girl match. The supporting sound fcaturettes are all excellent and include the two part comedy “Big Dog House” which features this remarkable troupe of performing dogs in funny antics with accompanying speech of a most entertaining description. Micky Mouse cartoon “Gorilla Mystery,” Flip the frog cartoon- “Flying Fists,” Movietone news gazette, and Burton Holmes’ travelogue “Barcelona.” The box plan to-day is at the theatre where early reservation of seats is recommended by the management.
