School Girls in Revolt

TOO EARLY RISING PARIS, Feb. 12. A funny little revolt has broken out in a girls’ boarding school at Montpelier. It was recently decided that the the pupils’ day of activity should begin at 6.30 instead of 7 o’clock in the morning. Many hoated dormitory meetings followed, with the result that when the now' order was put into force tho girls, instead of proceeding to their classrooms, paraded in a body and sang the “nlternationale.” The school authorities are in a quandary. While thoy cannot punish ah the pupils without seriously interfering with the wor kof the school, the rebellious girls, havg shown an uaex-

pected spirit of combination. Not one of them will admit that any other was a ringleader. The revolutionary movement has, however, failed in its object, for the early-xising order is to remain in force.
