A TWO MONTHS’ SENTENCE Ronald Herbert Francis Charles, alias Eov Donaldson, appeared before Messrs, D. J. Lovelock and A. Ward j'sP in the Palmerston North MagisCourt on Saturday, _ charged with theft, and, pleading guilty to all three charges, was sentenced to two months’ imprisonment on each count, the sentences to bo concurrent. Accused was charged (1) that on April 2 lie stole a pair of boots valued at £1 1/-, the property of Messrs. Oliver Bros.; (2) that on April 2 he stole a pair of sand shoes valued at 0/IJ, tne property of the Wholesale Boot Warehouse; and (3) that on April 2 he stole a pair of trousers valued at 10/t>, tne property of William Skinner. Detective Russell, for the police, said that accused had sold the trousers and sandshoes to a second-hand dealei for 3/6 and 6d. respectively. He had only been in Palmerston North for two weeks, and had been two days weekly on relief work.
