Rangi Sighted off Sydney Heads
OIMARA’S USE OF ENGINE

The yacht R.angi was sighted 40 miles of tho heads late yesterday, but was not in sight this morning. There was no wind, and the Raugi may have drifted.
The owner of the Oimara (Air. Beuncll) stated that, in fairness to the other competitors, he used the yacht s engine only when forced to do so in the early stages of the race. Had he used the engine fully, he claimed that they could have made Port Jackson three days earlier. Tho Oimara has sailed for Aleibournc.
The handicaps for the ocean yacht race were: Oimara, scr,; Raugi, 73J hours; Teddy, 96 hours.
