Brummels of Berlin
The Englishman is the glass of fashion and the mould of form. His clothes arc the ideal of civilised mankind. But now Germany swells with hope that it has struck a blow at his supremacy. The Brummcls of Berlin during the recent winter were trimming their spats with fur. The arrangement described is dove grey aand black, but no doubt other confections can be provided for different complexions and occasions. The scheme recalls Robinson Crusoe, who made himself “a pair of spatterdashes” out of something hairy. It should give an adventurous air to the most prosaic feet.
