Business Girls Lending a Hand
Members of tho Palmerston North Business Girls’ Lunch Club hold a meeting yesterday afternoon to discuss ways and means of helping in the relief work being carried out in the city. Hf ISS Blockley explained tho objects of the mooting and it was decided to dovoto a sum of money from tho club’s cxis - ing relief fund for the purchase or material. Miss Bennett was commissioned to do tho buying and to apportion the work to tho members w volunteered to make up the material. It was agreed to cater particularly i children from one to seven years. Nineteen members attended the meeting, and Mrs. Blockley, vice-president, was also in attendance. The Ashburton Presbytery has nominated Bov. E. B. Harries, of Auckland, as moderator of the General Assembly for 1932. _____
