Cacophony of Circus is Heard in Brown Comic
“PAINTED PACES.” All the sounds and noises of the big top are to be heard in the Cinema Art Films' all-talking picture, “Painted Faces,” featuring Joe E. Brown, witn Helen Foster, Barton Hepburn, Dorothy Gulliver aud an excellent cast at the Kosy Theatre next Wednesday. Freaks of many descriptions, trained horses, dogs, and lions and all the animals that make a circus will be seen and heard in this picture, directed by A 1 Rogell. The two-headed woman, the snake-charmer, Thelma, the half lady, strong men, the diving beauty, Punch and Judy, and last, but not least, the “refined show for men, women and children,” are all there, along with the shooting galleries, the steady whirr of the wheels of chance and the rough voice of the barkers.
“Painted Faces” is an original story by Frances Hyland, dialogue by Frederic and Fanny Hatton and recorded by RCA Photophone.
