Big Cut in Atlantic Fares

United Press Association. —By Electric Telegraph. —Copyright. Received Sunday, DAO p.ra. BRUSSELS, Bee. 20. The Atlantic conference, which includes all the North Atlantic passenger companies, decided to reduce first-class passages between Europe, the United States and Canada to a minimum. Basic rates are only reduced by about ten shillings but there are heavy reductions on the higher-priced rooms and suites. Transatlantic first-class travel has decreased by about 30,000 in 1930. The reductions apply to Anglo-Australian passengers via the United .States and Canada.
