Kingsford Smith May Fly Pacific
CALIFORNIA TO TOKYO FOR 25,000 DOLLARS. United Press Association.—By Electri* Telegraph.—Copyright. Received Sunday, 9.50 p.uu NEW YORK, Dec. 19. The Evening Sun’s Oakland (California) correspondent reports that Kingsford Smith’s brother has asserted that the Australian aviator is en route for United States. Tt is stated he contemplates making a non stop flight from Oakland to Tokyo in the springtime and would possibly bo accompanied by his wife. A prize of 25,000 dollars is being offered for such a flight and it is suggested Kingsford Smith would make it in a special singlemotored monoplane which is under construction in California. Mrs. Keith Miller in Hospital Received Sunday, 9.50 p.m. NEW YORK, Dec. 20. Mrs Keith Miller, entered hospital to day for treatment for internal injuries She is stated to have suffered from kid ncy trouble since her plane crashed a Jacksonville on December 14th.
