In the Sheffield shield match against Queensland Victoria’s first innings closed for 464 (O’Brien 65., Abeckett 92). Oxenham took six wickets for 92. Queensland in their first innings made 103. Benstead was the highest scorer with 20. Ironmonger took 5 wickets for 29. and Blackie 3 for 37. Following on Queensland had made five for no wickets at stumps. ADELAIDE, Dec. 19.

In the Sheffield shield match against South Australia New South Wales made 610 (Kippnx 42, Hooker 45). Grimmett took five wickets for ISO. South Australia in their first striko have lost six wickets for 140 (Nitsckke 69).
