The i'cilding Municipal Band in making visits to various parts of the country, and the residents of Ashhurst, and Pohangina Yallcy are to receive a visit ou Sunday next.

Prior to the closing of the I’cilding Agricultural High School tor the Christmas vacation, the pupils made presentations to Mr. G. V. Wild and conveyed to him their regret at his departure and wishes for success and happiness in his new work. At the prizegiving ceremony Mr. Tolley referred to Mr. Wild’s excellent work and stated that all wished Mr. and Mrs. Wild every happiness and success. Hearty cheers were accorded Mr. and Mrs. Wild by the pupils. The Lytton street school pupils held a successful concert at the Majestic theatre last evening, when they supplied the first half of the programme. The object of the concert was to raiso funds for the school.
