DISTRICT RESULTS
Tho second round of the inter-club croquet matches, played under the auspices of the Manawatu Croquet Association, was contested yesterday, when the playing areas throughout the district were very firm and as a result conducive to exceptionally good.play. The following are tho detailed results, the various contestants’ clubs being indicated thus: Kimbolton (K), Ashhurst (A), Pahiatua (P), Manakau (M), Takaro (T), Woodvillo (W), Shannon (S), Bulls (B). Northern Club: Mrs Richardson (K) lost to Mrs Fenwick (A), 11 —26; Mrs Gerke (K) beat Mrs Sumner (A) 26 9; Mesdames Hansen and Barnicoat (K)- beat Mesdames Reid and Fenwick (A), 26—22; Mesdames Banks and Marshall (K) beat Mesdames Sumner and Woodroofe (A), 26 —10. Kimbolton So points, Ashhurst 67. Manawatu Club: Mrs Boyd (P) beat Mrs Herrick (M), 26 —20; Mrs Burrell (P) lost to Mrs Bryant (M), 14 —IS; Mesdames Boyd and Cittadiue (P) lost to Miss Herrick and Mrs Evans (M), 21—26; Mesdames Burrell and Greou (P) lost to Mesdames Bryant and Neos (M), 16—21. Pahiatua 77 points, Manakau S 3.
Woodvillo Club: Mrs Usmar (T) lost to Mrs Kenyon (W), 7—26; Mrs Veale (T) beat Mrs Turnbull (W), 26 —19; Mesdames Ball and Lyall (T) lost to Mesdames Halpin and Nicholas (W), 24—26; Miss Tennant and Mrs Newth (T) lost to Mesdames Kenyon and Curry (W), 23—26. Takaro 80 points, Woodville 97.
Takaro Club: Mrs Snelling (S) lost to Mrs Ingram (B), 17—26; Mrs Picard (S) beat Mrs Wilson (B), 19—IS; Mesdomes Leng-Ward and Bovis (S) beat Mesdames Ingram and Broughton (B), 23 —19; Mesdames Mason and Brann (S) beat Mesdames Wilson and Larmer (B), 23—14. Shannon S2 points, Bulls 77. The order of the clubs, according to the TGsUlts was: Woodville 1, Manakau and Kimbolton 2, Shannon 4, Takaro 5, Pahiatua and Bulls 6, Ashhurst 8.
