Judgment Summons. V. M. Rowland, agent, of Palmerston North, was ordered to pay G. H. Bennett and Co. Ltd. (Mr Laurenson) £l3 L’s sd, in default 14 days’ gaol. Defended Actions. C. N. Clausen (Mr McLeavey) proceeded against E, 11. Andrews ('Mr Oram) claiming £29 arrears of rent plus £4 in lieu of. notice. After hearing evidence his Worship gave judgment for £29 and costs £0 14s. R. M. Maunder (Mr Petersen), claimed from tho Manawatu Plumbing Co. (Mr Eodgers) £l3 allegedly overpaid on an account. After hearing evidence on both sides, his Worship entered judgment for the company less £3 refund on a bath. J. Glover and Bon, eoachbuiJders, of Eongotea (Mr. Fitzherbert) proceeded against C. Watkins, farmer, of Eongotea (Mr Onglcy) claiming . £l4 9s for, services rendered. Defendant paid £l.l into Court with £1 5s costs, leaving .a balance of £3 9s in dispute, which his Worship held, after hearing evidence, should be paid. Plaintiffs were allowed 12s costs. T. C. Christensen, fanner, of Make■rua (Mr Oram) proceeded against J. A. Pcrrson, farmer, of Palmerston North, late of Eangihuie <Mr Fletcher) claiming a refund of £4- 13s 4d on liny

purchased but not delivered, plus 15s expense incurred. Tho allegations wero that although fivo tons of hay had been purchased, tho bales had been under ivcight. His Worship heard evidence and came to tho conclusion that there liad been a shortage which lie assessed at half a ton.
