Mr Whitehead, of Palmorston North, conducted both tho morning and evening services at the Presbyterian Church on Sunday, the occasion being tho annual Thanksgiving services. School Committee. The Shannon eleven visited Paranaraumu on Saturday and met defeat by the home team. Shannon’s batting failed to come up to scratch and Paraparaumu had a comparatively easy win. White took eight wickets for 53 in the afternoon and Lynch four for 12 for Paraparaumu. Hemmingsen was the best bowler for Shannon with five for 11.
