>■ From Our Own Correspondent. 1.0. RechaMtes. Tho monthly meeting of tho Hope of Woodvillo Tent was held on Monday evening in tho Foresters’ hall and presided over by Sister J. Leach, C.R. Thcro was a good attendance of members. Two candidates were initiated into the Order and two members were declared ou and off tho sick list. Bros. E. J. Harding and L. Rendlo were' appointed delegates to the Hawko’s Bay Provincial Council for the ensuing year. The secretary was requested to write a lettor of appreciation to Bro. Alex. Smith, P.C.R., for past services to the Tent and it was resolved to record same in tho minutes. Personal Airs. 8. V. Brightwell is holidaying in Morrinsville. Women’s Institute Monthly Dance. Tho Woodvillo Women’s Institute conducted a most successful dance in tho Foresters’ hall on Wednesday evening. Tho music was supplied by Air, J. Sullivan’s panatrope, Mr. Harris giving an extra on his accordion and this was greatly enjoyed. In tho euchre tourney, the ladies’ prizes wero as follows: —Ist, Airs. Peters; consolation, Mrs. Pilcher. Airs. Alaul, playing for the gent’s, won tho first prize, and the consolation went to Air. Healy. Air. H. Smith made a ifery efficient M.C. Airs. Arthur Vile with a Willing band of workers, had charge of the supper arrangements and their efforts in this connection wero very succAsful.
