Lace for Lingerie

Lace, made on the loom and needlerun by hand, was used to trim much of the lingerie shown recently by a Paris designer who has a West End shop and who was responsible for the elaborate trousseaux of two recent royal brides, says the Daily Mail. “I have tried to use more hand embroidery,” the designer said, "but women always order lace. This year soft, pastel colours are preferred, washing satin is used a great deal, and long danco frocks demand either a full jupon fitted closely to the waist or a shadowproof princess slip.”
