Bookie's Agent Caught in Wellington
Per Press Association. ■WELLINGTON, Last Night. Arrested on a charge cf carrying on business as a bookmaker Bert Cook, a baker, aged 47, was fined £5 when he appeared before Mr E. Page S.M., in the Police Court to-day. Tho police stated accused was out of work and in poor circumstances.' Counsel said his client was an agent for a bookmaker.
