Slot 41 Clay Birds Straight
TO WIN N.2. CHAMPIONSHIP. Per Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH, Last Night. The twenty-ninth sweepstake clay pigeon match for the championship of New 7 Zealand was held under the auspices of the North Canterbury _ Gun Club at Rangiora to-day. The winner was S. Anderson (Methven). There were 37 entries and the prizemoney was divided among six competitors who tied all on. Anderson won the shoot-off. Tho six' qualifying were: S. Anderson, D. Davidson (Culverden), T. Wrigiey (Levin), J. Winchester (Ellesmere'!, H. Grennell (Christchurch), C. Seddon (Hamilton). The conditions were 21 birds off IS yards. The match was fired in a dull light with a heavy south-west wind and ceaseless rain. Anderson shot all 21 birds and in the sliooff-off beat Wentworth at the 20th bird, so that tho winner shot 41 birds straight.
