“All Quiet” Again Before the House

QUESTION OF AUDIENCES. Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, Last Night.. In the House of Representatives this afternoon, Mr W. E. Barnard (Napier) asked the Minister of Internal Affairs if, now that tho ban had been removed from the film “All Quiet on the Western Front,” it was intended that any restrictions should be made with regard to audiences. Ho said some members of Parliament, while disapproving of tho ban on the film, had considered that certain battle scenes might have a harmful effect on the nerves of children. Hon. do la Pcrrellc stated that the film had been through tho hands of the censor again and it was possible the scenes to which Mr Barnard had referred might have been removed. In any ease he would look into the matter.
