CONCERT AND DANCE From Our Own Correspondent. The Ohingaiti queen carnival committee gave a concert and dance on Thursday evening in aid of the wool queen before a largo audience. The following items were given: Song, Mr. MeKnigh; song, Mr. A. Charles; song, Mr. A. Linton; song, Mr. C. Bowick; piano solo, Mrs. Bowick; song, Mr. A. Charles; duet, Messrs. Bowick and Charles; song, Mrs. MeKnigh. The accompaniments wore played by Mrs. Bowick. The music for the dance was supplied by Messrs. J. Carr and T. McIntyre. General The Rangiwahia ladies’ hockey team journeyed to Apiti on Wednesday and, after a fast and interesting game, was victorious by four goals to two. For Rangiwahia, goals were scored by Miss A. Boshisr and Mrs. A. Price. The senior Eugby team played Apiti at Rangiwahia on Saturday and was defeated by five points to four. McKenzie scored for Apiti and Beard converted. Barrell drop-kicked a goal for Rangiwahia. The junior team forfeited to Apiti through being unable to muster sufficient players. The weekly card tournament held on Saturday night was well attended, ihc euchre prizes went to Miss B. Morgan and Mr. C. Bailey; Miss Sim and Mr. B. SayweU received consolation awards. Mrs. Thomas and Mr. W. Hyde were successful at cribbage, the consolation prizes going to Mrs. Fagan and Mr. Kreger.
