IN MEMORY OF THE CONQUEEOR OF QUEBEC.—A statue of General James Wolfe, who captured the Canadian city of Quebec in .1759, was unveiled on the brow of Greenwich Hill, London, by tho Marquis do Montcalm, a descendant of the famous General Montcalm, whom Wolfe defeated on the Heights of Abraham.
