GOVERNMENT CAUTIOUS. Received Sunday, 9 p.m. CANBERRA, Aug. 3. Replying to questions in the' House, Mr Scullin, Federal Premier, said a recent deputation of Queensland sugar industry representatives had asked for an extension of the present agreement rvith the growers and an embargo on the importation of foreign sugar. But, he declared, such' a request could not be granted until an inquiry into all the circumstances of the industry was completed by the. committee now being appointed.
