L. D. HARROWFIELD WINS OTP. A successful competitive run whs held over tlxo Massey College course by the Harriers’ Club on Saturday afternoon, the distance being six miles. It was a. gruelling contest and L. D. Harrowiield (olmin.), the winner, created a surprise by being the first man home. He ran a determined raeo and deserved his win. G. Hopkins min.) filled second place, finishing only five seconds behind the winner. S. A. Oxcnham (scr.) ran into third place, but contracted stitch about a mile from heme. He was gaining rapidly on the leaders, but was forced to slacken his pace. However, he secured fastest time, covering the distance in 40 mins. 12 see. The starters were: Yortt, Lawson, Harrowiield, Ewing, Grant, Hopkins, Bailout, Boyce, Oxcnham and Carter. L, 11. Couch laid the trail.
