A great mass congress of Eastern women which was attended by delegates of every Moslem country concluded after a week’s discussion. It represents the first concerted move to escape from tho bondage of Islamic customs. Tho most outstanding decision was the abolition of tho veil allowing women to appear barefaced in tho .streets. Other decisions were that the bridegroom and bride be permitted to seo each other before marriage and the regulation of divorce making it possible for a wife to sue as well as a husband, also that 18 be the legal minimum age of marriage. y
