PERSONALITIES

THE PROPERTY MASTER. There are not many men more widely known in Palmerston North than Oon McGrath, a genial, local-born citiren whose popularity is great, and his friends are legion. On the business side, Ills connection with the motor industry brings him into close touch with all sections of the community. His main relaxation is a very keen interest in the Amateur Operatic Society, of which he is one of the original members and for a time was a member of the chorus. Oon does not sing to-day. For the last twelve years ho has filled the position of property master, a Job in which he revels. He keeps a jealous watch over the “props’' of the Society and he would bo a lucky man who could get away with anything when once it is placed under Con’s guardianship. Con is always willing to lend a hand in any worthy cause, except one—matrimony.
