PUBLIC TRUST’S NEW BUSINESS .WELL OVER EIGHT MILLIONS.. Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, Last Night. The Prime Minister (Hon. G. W. Forbes) made available to-day for publication some interesting figures showing the results of the operations of the Public Trust Office for the year ending March. 31st, 1930. In doing so, Mr Forbes made reference to the forecast contained in the statement issued by his predecessor in office in July, 1929. to the effect that the value of the business obtained by this office during the year 1929-30 might possibly reach the sum of eight millions sterling. He added that this forecast had been more than justified. The new business for the year under review reached the unprecedented, total of £8,473,916, as compared with a total of new business of £7,091,350 for the preceding year, which itself had constituted a record.
