Afternoon of Bridge and Euchre

Mesdamcs R. Gambrill, R. Spring, R. A. Fuller and Bcnfcll were the hostesses at the monthly bridge and euchre party of the Manawatu Croquet Club, held in the pavilion, Fitzherbert avenue yesterday afternoon. There was a large attendance, eleven tables being occupied, and a very pleasant afternoon was spent. The decorations were of hydrangeas and autumn foliage effectively arranged, and the pretty little red cloths on all the card tables added to the colour scheme. Delicious afternoon tea was daintily served. The prize winners were ns follow:—Bridge, highest score, Miss Hughes; concealed score, Mrs McDonald; euchre, Mrs Dickcl.
