PAL-ACE: Extended season already commenced for “Gold Diggers of Broadway” — a sensation! Auckland and Wellington arc just regaining their breath—sweeps of colour, costuming and settings that rival even the rainbow. A great and glorious spectacle. Season to run through Show week. Morning sessions on Show days at 10.30. DE LUXE: All-talking original comedy, “So This is College,” showing to-night and to-morrow night. Big cast of eloquent stars headed by Cliff Edwards (Ukulele Ike), Elliot Nugent, and Sally Star. Commencing Saturday, Buddy Rogers and Mary Brian head a distinguished cast in Paramount’s all-talker “The River of Romance.” Second chapter of “Ace of Scotland Yard” serial on same programme. KOSY: Jack Holt plays the leading role of a U.S. Marshal. He is seen to advantage in “Sunset Pass” now showing. “Celebrity,” the second feature is the story of a small time boxer who tried to pose as a cultured pugilist in order to gain notoriety. “Sins of the Fathers” with Emil Jannings is showing along with “On to Reno” on Saturday next.
