Palmerston North Hospital Board

CAPITAL EXPENDITURE PROPOSALS IS CURTAILMENT LIKELY? "I understand there is a likelihood of some curtailment in the capital expenditure proposed by the board,” remarked Cr. A. Campbell (chairman) at yesterday’s meeting of the Oroua County Council, -when a letter was received from the Palmerston North Hospital Board requesting payment of the levy. Cr. Campbell remarked that some such action had been taken in connection with the Wanganui Hospital Board, and ho anticipated a possible curtailment with regard to Palmerston North, -which would reduce the amount of levy to bo found by Oroua this year. “I see the Palmerston North Borough Council has been considering the Hospital Board’s finances,” remarked Cr. O. McElroy, who anticipated that lhc next meeting of the board would produce an interesting discussion on the subject.
