Rain Developing The anti-cyclone which has , been covering New Zealand during the past few days is still centred near Cook Strait. A deep depression is located on the western Tasman Sea. Expect south-easterlies at first about Cook Strait but easterly to northerly prevailing and freshening. Tho seas in New Zealand waters will bo rather rough north of East Cape and in Cook Strait, elsewhere smooth to moderate; moderate to strong north-east to north winds and moderate but rising seas in the eastern Tasman Sea. The weather will be fair generally at first but soon becoming dull and misty, with rain developing in the Ear North and South aud gradually extending to most districts. It will be cold to-night but temperatures are gradually, becoming milder.
