FRENCHMAN'S CALM CONFESSION RESCUED WOMAN ONLY TO YET HER DROWN. United Press Association. —By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright. Received Friday, .11 p.m. PARIS, April 24. A most unusual type of murder was revealed at Troyes, when the body of a young woman was picked out of the Seine. It was at first presumed to be -a case of suicide but inquiries led to the arrest of Georges Grosclaude, employed as a coach builder, who confessed that the woman was his wife. He calmly told the following details of the murder: —The couple separated two years ago and met accidentally. The husband suggested a stroll, along the riverside in the evening, to which the wife agreed. When they reached a propitious spot Grosclaude pushed her into the river.. She clutched the reeds and shouted for help. The husband dragged her out, lit a cigarette uud commanded the woman to follow. The drenched figure tremblingly obeyed. They continued along the riverside till they reached a 3U feet high bridge. Here Grosclaude, without a word, picked up his wife again and threw her into the river and when ho was satisfied she was dead, walked tranquilly home.
