Maori Child Dies of Burns

Per Press Association. GISBORNE, Last Night. A four year old Maori girl named Karona Karcpa, whose parents live at Muriwai, died in the Cook hospital today following injuries from burns. Tho mother was heating a water copper outside the house yesterday and the fire was believed to bo out. Soon after, the child sat down on a piece of wood but unnoticed, a spark set her clothes on fire.
