Mystery Surrounds Wrecked Motor Car

POUND ON ROADSIDE. Per Press Association. NEW PLYMOUTH, Last Night. Mystery surrounds a wrecked car found on the road between Inglewood and New Plymouth early this morning. It was lying against a telegraph pole and was so very severely smashed that it seemed impossible that tho driver or passengers could havo escaped injury but no trace of the driver or a passenger has been found. There is an unconfirmed report that the car was stolen from Wanganui. It is an expensive M.G. model registerd in Wellington this month in the name of R. R. Smith, Blakey avenue, Karori, Wellington. It is now almost a, total wrOck and the search for the driver continues.
