Fine Days, Cold Nights
An anti-cyclone covering the South' Island is beginnig to move away eastwards. Another and ratlher intense, cyclone has developed west of Norfolk Island. Prevailing winds will bo modorate to strong southeasterly to easterly from Cook Strait northwards; elsewhere light to moderate northerly and later northerly becoming general. Tho seas in New Zealand waters will be rather rough in Cook Strait and North of East Ga.pe; cisewuere smuotn t moderate; east to north winds in the eastern Tasman Sea, strong in the northern portion and moderate in the southern. The seas will be rough in the northern and smooth to moderate in the southern area.
The weather will be mainly fair to line, with cold night temperatures and frosts iu the South Island. Conditions will bo unsettled, however, in North Auckland, with rain developing and extending gradually over the North Island.
